Projects & Milestones
CapNova is currently in the Land & Permitting phase for Copperbelt projects, designed for scalable grid connection and hybrid PV + storage operation.
Governance principles
- Compliance-first approach (permits, licences, safety, and environmental)
- Clear decision-making, documentation, and approvals
- Risk management and change control throughout development
- Transparent reporting for partners and investors
Project controls
- Milestone-based planning (Land → Grid → Permitting → Feasibility → Investment → Delivery)
- Document control and version management
- Vendor due diligence and procurement governance
- Quality assurance, commissioning, and handover standards
Policies & compliance
We maintain a structured KYC/AML approach for counterparties and adopt a zero-tolerance stance on bribery and unethical conduct. Formal policies can be provided on request.
Development Timeline
Phase 1 (0–3 months): Land & Permitting
Land identification, municipal engagement, preliminary grid corridor screening.
Phase 2 (3–9 months): Studies & Applications
ESIA, formal grid impact / feasibility study initiation, licensing pathway preparation.
Phase 3 (9–15 months): Structuring & Financing
Offtake discussions, investor/lender engagement, project company structuring.
Phase 4 (15–24 months): EPC & Commissioning
EPC appointment, construction, grid connection, commissioning.
Battery Storage – High-Level Assumptions
Phase 1 (10 MW)
Baseline: 10–20 MWh (1–2 hrs). Final sizing confirmed after grid studies and PPA structure.
Scale-up (30 MW)
Baseline: 60 MWh (2 hrs). Used for peak shifting, voltage support, and curtailment reduction.
Utility-scale (50–100 MW)
Baseline: 100–400 MWh (2–4 hrs). Enables hybrid dispatch and stronger offtake options.
